A word from our corporate affairs manager, Godfrey Mashike......
Arwyp Medical Centre will be going through a very stringent verification process this year. We are currently on BBBEE Recognition level 8, but given the amount of attention and the hard work that went into the preparation for this BBBEE verification audit, the expectation is that our rating will be higher than the current level we occupy. The pre-verification and verification processes will conducted by external agencies. The latter is accredited with SANAS as required by BBBEE Codes of Good Practice. The verification agency will interview a few individuals as part of the process - staff members, don’t be surprised if you get a call, or a knock on your door. The results will be communicated to all. Watch this space.
We are currently interpreting data that came through the Skills Needs Analysis and Monthly Summaries of Training documents, this will then inform our WSPIR (Work Place Skills Plan And Implementation Report) that will be sent to HW Seta and Isett Seta respectively. Upon approval of this plan the relevant Seta will then disburse the 0.5% of the skills levy to the company.
I’d like to take this opportunity as the chairperson and on behalf of the Skills Development and Employment Equity Forum to thank all the managers and staff members that played a role in the collation of this data.
