Community representatives, the business sector and Arwyp members of staff gathered at a breakfast function on May 5th to pay tribute to the Arwyp Medical Centre, commemorating the medical centre’s first 25 years of medical services to the Kempton Park community. The first speaker, Corporate Affairs Manager Godfrey Mashike presented a slide show highlighting Arwyp Medical Centre’s history, the many ‘firsts’ in the sector, technological acquisitions and medical successes.
Chief Executive Officer of Arwyp, Otto Wypkema paid tribute to the founders of the medical centre and thanked staff members for their dedication to patients and the medical centre. ‘All the technology in the world is useless without the people to use it, and to help patients,’ he said, referring to the many medical technology purchases described by Mr Mashike.
Proudly South African representative Ms Dalene du Preez was the master of ceremonies. She introduced the guest speaker Mr Ndivhuho Raphulu, Chief Executive Officer of the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC).
